  1. If you’re feeling unwell or sick, regardless of severity of symptoms (even if it is a minor cold), please cancel your appointment and reschedule to a later date. There is no late cancellation fee due to illness.
  2. You’ll be asked to wash your hands with soap & water for 20 secs prior to your treatment.

Facial Palsy results from damage to the facial nerve for a variety of reasons. It can cause the face to stop moving on one or more rarely both sides of the face. Facial Neuromuscular Retraining will help you learn how to use your facial muscles again through soft tissue mobilization and specific retraining strategies to regain coordination and balance in your face. Sessions are typically 1 hour long and include specific suggestions from the physiotherapist along with general conditioning principles. Frequently, the goal of this program is to assist clients with return to work, return to sport or just return to life!

Shveta received her Bachelor of Physiotherapy Degree from India in 2006. In India, she worked within various clinical settings including spinal injuries, pediatrics (special needs), sports & musculoskeletal injuries. She immigrated to Canada in 2010, where she started working in various hospital settings before moving into private orthopaedic practice. In private practice, Shveta has rehabilitated individuals with musculoskeletal, sports, post motor vehicle accident, work-related, and post-surgical injuries. Shveta has over 17 years of physiotherapy experience. Her treatment philosophy is to focus on patient education, so patients understand the nature of their problem. She combines this with a tailored treatment plan that emphasizes therapeutic exercise so each patient can better participate in the rehabilitation process.

Her postgraduate studies include intramuscular stimulation (IMS), vestibular & concussion treatment and level 1 pelvic floor therapy. At this point in her career, Shveta is now looking for a new challenge. She has joined healthOne as a Hand Therapy Fellow and will be pursuing her Certified Hand Therapy designation. She is a member of the Canadian Hand Therapy Association (CSHT).

Jas’ academic career began at Simon Fraser University where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Physiology prior to completing his Master of Physical Therapy at the University of British Columbia.

Jas has always been interested in science and the human body. When deciding what career path to choose, his own experiences rehabbing injuries led him to pursue physiotherapy. The various treatment techniques that he was exposed to during his rehabilitation and education worked to develop his specific physiotherapy interests including manual therapy and IMS. Given this, Jas has completed his Orthopaedic Division Level 1 as well as IMS certification. Jas has experience with various patient populations ranging from neurological conditions, hip and knee replacements, chronic pain as well as general orthopaedic conditions. This background knowledge gives Jas the ability to work with a broad caseload of acute and chronic patients. His treatment relies on the use of hands-on manual skills and IMS coupled with education and exercises to make long lasting changes for his patients. Jas is also fluent in Punjabi.

Ruban Dhillon grew up in Punjab (a northern state in India) on a small family farm and began her academic career at the Lovely Professional University, graduating with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. Ruban pursued a Master in orthopedics (PT). The passion for sharing her knowledge with others pushed her to become an assistant professor and she spent 5 years teaching at different colleges across Punjab. Ruban’s expertise is in the field of manual therapy and exercise therapy, along with various other approaches to treat her patients in an efficient manner. Trevor graduated as a physiotherapist in 1996 from the University of Western Ontario and became a Certified Hand Therapist in 2001. He’s been in private practice physiotherapy for over 27 years. His professional memberships include the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA), Physiotherapy Association of British Columbia (PABC) and the Canadian Society for Hand Therapists (CSHT). Post graduate studies have included the Intermediate Manual Therapy Certificate in the Orthopaedic system of CPA and Chan Gunn IMS (Intramuscular Stimulation).

Trevor has been an invited speaker with PABC, CSHT, University of British Columbia, OASIS Hand Symposium, WorkSafe BC and the BC Society of Surgeons. From 2014 to 2017, he served as President of CSHT and Host Organizing Chair of the Annual CSHT conferences held in Vancouver in 2011 & 2017.

Growing up playing soccer and eventually boxing at an elite level, Gurpreet realized the impact that injuries can have in preventing people from participating in the activities that they love. With a zest for adventure and keen interest in human movement, Gurpreet moved to Australia where she completed her Doctor of Physiotherapy degree at the Univeristy of Melbourne. While in Australia, Gurpreet gained experience in a variety of rehabilitation settings and started managing injuries from the sidelines as a sports trainer for an Australian Football team. Her enthusiam for injury rehab lead her to London, England where she helped treat Premier League soccer players at a recognized FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence. Gurpreet strongly believes in educating her patients and empowering them with the tools necessary to reach their rehab goals. With a strong passion for holistic wellness, she’s travelled to Tuscany to become a Registered Yoga Teacher and is also certified in Clinical Pilates. Jayson completed his Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology with distinction from Simon Fraser University, he then chose to further his education by earning a Masters degree in Physical Therapy from the University of British Columbia.

Jayson’s treatment philosophy focuses on empowering individuals by improving their movement patterns and functional abilities utilizing a multi-modal treatment approach heavily based on manual therapy and corrective exercise prescription. Cameron graduated from McMaster University with his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology, eventually going on to complete his Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Western University. During his schooling, Cameron gained clinical experience at the Hand and Upper Limb Centre in London, Ontario and subsequently worked in private practice at the Hand and Upper Limb Clinic in Thunder Bay, Ontario. He also received his Master’s in Kinesiology at the University of Saskatchewan, developing an understanding of research and has published in a variety of peer-reviewed journals.

Cameron has developed a strong passion for treating the upper limb and is always looking to advance his knowledge base. Most recently, he completed our healthOne 1-year Fellowship training program in the upper extremity to further his knowledge and skills, which led to him obtaining his Certified Hand Therapist designation in 2019. He also holds a variety of continuing education credits with regards to splinting, wound care and treatment of the upper extremity.
